GREETINGS ..We are Pro-jekt from England , we are the Nu gothic Metal groove messiah's Dark heavy industrial gothic metal groove.. With Brooding Vocals, shredding Barbed wire guitars, Industrial back beats , Punishing Driving Bass lines or Huge Keyboard driven soundscapes Dancefloor groove with melodic bite .. With the seamless blend of Guitar driven industrial Rock and Moody atmospheric gothic melodies.. we liked what Terrorizer Magazine here in the UK wrote ..Pro-jekt are “Silky neo-gothic metallers cranking out relentless inky black grooves through the dark heart of the devils disco”
The name “PRO-JEKT”...why ?
Pro-jekt began as a 'Project' to mix different sounds and style's that we loved
We just wanted to release a CD album of our own songs , the demo cd was heard by Nightbreed recordings, we signed a album deal , the rest as they say is history
Who composes ?...how that is held between you ?
The members of Pro-jekt all contribute the musical influences to the mixing pot
When we are songwriting , the Song can come from a Lyric or a guitar riff ..
Then its all built up painstakingly into a song structure ..until we are all happy with the finished song .
What musicstyle do you prefer personaly and what are your influences ?
The Members of Pro-jekt all come from a background of Gothic Industrial Heavy Metal And Altertnative Music in various quantities ..
From Depeche mode to Metallica and all in between , its more about the actual song itself than the band .. but at the moment I like Rammstein, Oomph, Lacuna coil ,
What's your opinion about the actual électro scene in U.K ?
As with every scene , there are ups and downs as well as good bands ..and maybe not so good bands , But at the moment there seems to be a few really good bands breaking out there so things seem to be taking off at the moment !
Generally,what is the reaction of the public at the time of your concerts ?
Mostly DANCING ! We seem to have the rhythm and flow of songs to get people's feet moving, whether it's a slow song or fast song we like to get people on their feet
And having a good time ...
What is your best live memorie ? And why ?
Too many to mention whilst being in a band , Everything... it's a big part of life , that's me personally I live for the songwriting , recording, gigging and The camaraderie that goes with it , we are a Road machine when we go out on tour , we have had the best times on the road , some of the most memorable moments in life and its taken us so far to quite a few countries in the world And it still feels like we are just beginning ...
Best thing I suppose , when we flew out and performed at the Lumous festival in Finland ..and people new our song words..!That was a amazing feeling .
What would be the festival of your dreams ? (with you playing in it of course !!!)
The festivals ...in the UK we have DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL that would be a dream , and we would love to perform at the WGT in Germany .. we are now booked to appear at WGW Whitby goth fest one of the biggest gothic festivals in the UK , but as far as a line up..Hmm all our influences would have to be there
In studio...what was atmosphere ?...etc...
In the studio the attitude is the same as Pro-jekt Live .work hard ..Play hard !
Defiance was recorded in Nutbrown studio's High Wycombe, near London , but far enough away from London ! But the Whole experience of recording there was fantastic

What do you expect from the future ?
We Hope to push onwards and upwards , we are never happy and never sit back waiting for Something to happen , we believe we make our own luck , so we expect to do more gigs bigger concerts and Festivals , and spread the Pro-jekt ' disease across Europe , so we would like to perform on more festivals
Also work on the new album has begun .. so look out for that
What is your motto in life ?
We have a saying , 'everything matters' ! and it does ..
I suppose Hard work, persistence, a little bit of bullshit and little bit of luck helps
And Lots of gig's.. but try to retain focus on quality rather than quantity
But we do like the whole gigging live thing , and still do a lot more gigs than the average Darkwave Undergound band , we just work hard , always improving things with better posters flyers sound and light show..everything matters
