Present yourself to the readers
I'm Bernard Van Isacker, communication and press responsable for the Eurorock festival which takes place from May 14 till May 16 in Neerpelt, Belgium. The man behind the festival is Rudi Donckers, an old friend, who has been doing bookings for the earlier Eurorock festivals too. So when he asked me if I wanted to help him out, I didn't hesitate.
What are the styles of music sought for your festival? and why?
The line-up that has been chosen for Eurorock brings a fresh mix between established bands and newer acts from the dark electro scene, the dark metal scene and the EBM scene. Newer electro acts include the Norwegians from Kant Kino, the internationally combined harsh electro act Alien Vampires and the dutch XMH, to name just a few. As for the established/cult acts, we serve The Orb, Oomph!, Apoptygma Berzerk, Fields Of The Nephilim, Killing Joke, Diary of Dreams, Front 242, The Neon Judgement, Arbeid Adelt and so on. We also decided to book fresh Belgian electro/wave blood with new(er) bands such as Lovelorn Dolls, Star Industry and Customs. You can check the whole list at and I'm pretty sure we found a good balance so that everyone will enjoy a good portion of what we have on offer, if not all of it :).
How did you choose the bands?
Eurorock always has had its very own identity when it came to booking bands. So you won't see us copy what German festivals do, instead we have our very own taste that we share with our visitors. You don't want to see / hear the same band line-up over and over again, so that's our strong point.
The name EUROROCK why ?
Well, Localrock would sound a bit stupid no ?:) haha :-D
