What’s the story for CEREMONY ?
Ceremony is our sophomore album, released December 13th, 2019. The themes expressed are love, loss and the passage of time.
Who composes?...How does it work in the duo ?
We both are involved in the creative process. Usually a song starts from a riff or idea recorded that is emailed back and forth to try different things until we are happy with it.
Who writes the texts?..What are they talking about?..How does inspiration come ?
both of us are involved in the lyrics as well. It depends from song to song, but overall the themes we used in Ceremony explore time, love and death.
Why the name TWIN TRIBES ?
The name like any other band name comes from a play of words. Back when we started the band, we wanted for the name to have the essence of a cult, which slowly, our followers have brought to life.
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
I have many bands and artists I look up to, but my favorites have to be Spanish New Wave like Soda Stereo and Caifanes as well as The Cure, Depeche Mode and Asylum Party just to name a few.
In studio, what was the atmosphere for your new album ?...etc.…
Before we recorded Ceremony, we knew the exact vibe we wanted the album to have, so we decided to work with our friend Allen Michael again. Analog synthesizers, vintage drum machines and analog recording are what set the atmosphere for the album.
