Present yourself to the audience
First of all we would to thank you and greet all. We are an Italian death metal band born in 2004. We are Carlo (voice), Carmine (Bass), Devis (guitar), Gabry (guitar), Massimiliano (Drums). What's about us? We were born such as a thrash metal band, but when we have reached a stable formation (actual) we decided to play death metal influenced by many genres. The most important thing which unite us is our friendship, because we love to say that we are first friends and then musician. We think this is important because only in this way we could “put” all our passion into music, expressing our thoughts, our minds. We love to say also that a musician has to play for his own, because music is the expression of our internal deep I; and it is very beautiful, when you are playing in a gig, seeing people sharing your passion. Our songs talks about many things: from the actual humanity state to personal things. We used to compose songs in a different way (we think) then other bands, because we first write lyrics and then write music around it. We do this because we want that music gives the same emotion contained in lyric. Like in a film we want that who listen to our songs could live them. In October 2005 we have recorded our first promo, only to let know our music to our supporters in gigs, with 3 songs (which are part of a project for a concept cd). This promo was submitted to an Italian metal zine: “METAL SHOCK” and we were be TOP DEMO of February 2006. In May 2006 we've recorded our new promo “Impotence needed” (two tracks) and our first full length “Setting dying day” (ten tracks) at Tortonia studio.
What musicstyle do you prefer personaly and what are your influences ?
We prefer different kinds of music: Carlo loves thrash death metal, Gabry loves Katatonia, Hypocrisy; Massimiliano loves technical death metal, progressive, jazz; Devis come from rock and loves also black metal; Carmine loves thrash and hardcore. We come from different metal schools and we think this is much important during composition because we can mix them all to create something new. Our principal influences are Death (great Chuck!), Swedish death metal (Dark tranquillity, In flames), Thrash metal (Testament, Metallica) and Opeth.
What's your opinion about the actual metal scene in Italy ?
The actual scene in Italy is good if you look the underground. There are many valid bands. But it is worst if you want to grow or if you want to play around. Here is very difficult to find clubs where play who offer you a dinner!! This induce good band to go away and discourage others.
