Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
Jörg Bäumer- Guitars, keys and programming writes and composes all music. Torsten Bäumer- Vocals writes all lyrics. We think, that this is the perfect combination for Mystigma
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
The singer Torsten Bäumer writes all lyrics. Inspiration we got from life with all it`s depths and highs.
But there are new developments. While we talk about personal experiences and observations, you'll find an increase of social criticism, which sometimes leaves a scope for interpretation and sometimes is uncompromisingly straightforward. In this constantly changing world, shaped by a noticeable brutalization of society, there are quite a few people feeling as lambs among wolves.
Why the name MYSTIGMA ?
A mixture between Mystery and Stigmata.It perfectly represents our music and lyrics.
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
Our taste in music is slightly different within the group. In principle, we prefer the darker direction. Bands like Paradise Lost and Type o Negative have always pleased us. Partly also artists from the dark wave sector. I think we all like Rammstein too and right now we also hear a lot of Lord of the lost, who made a very good new album.
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
Wave Gotik Treffen Leipzig 2018. A wonderful crowd
In studio, what was the atmosphere for the album UNTER WOLFEN ?...etc.…
The atmosphere in the studio was very relaxed. We prepared well at the beginning and were very focused on the recordings. We have our own studio and could work without time pressure.
How does it work for the great design of the CD ? and why this title ?
Our cover designer got the inspiration for the artwork by my lyrics. Of course I told him my ideas, too.
How was the shooting of the clip DREH DICH UM ? and why this choice ?
The shooting of the clip was very productive, hard work but interesting and relaxed the same time
We choose « Dreh dich um « cause of the cathy melody and the fact, that we had a lot of ideas for the visual performance.
What are your projects ?
Next projects are of course touring and to begin songwriting for the next album. All Tourdates you can find on www.mystigma.de
What do you expect from the future ?
Difficult to say at the moment. We wish to progress further with our music.
What's your motto ?
To write good and cathy songs, with atmosphere.
