OUL is founded in 2017. The music is a mixture somewhere between Dark Wave /Alternative with some hidden things i can’t explain!
Who composes ?...How does it work in the duo ?
It’s not a duo it’s just me. So composing is my part.
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
All lyrics are written by me as well. On “antipode” i write about fear of getting lost in thoughts, to be stuck into it and finding a way out of torturing dogmas. The inspiration is just eye, ear and mind!
Why the name OUL ?
I searched for a short unusual name. It means a lot in several ways. It’s the old-irish way for the word “old” also the old spelling for “owl” and the name of an angel who is sitting beside god. As you can see, tons of ways to give the name a meaning!
In studio, what was the ambiance for the album ANTIPODE ?...etc.…
I work with Markus (the vision bleak, empyrium) in the Klangschmiede Studio E since almost twenty years. It’s a perfect place for being creative, recording on a high level and getting good food during the sessions because markus is a brilliant cook by the way!
