We are Scotty P. on vocals and guitar,Billy Velvet on bass guitar,Adam Stevens on guitar, And Mark Hammer on drums.Crank County Daredevils are from Asheville N.C. in the U.S. and tour like a bunch of maniacs,Loud and Proud, Lewd and Tattooed.
What musicstyle do you prefer personaly and what are your influences ?
We prefer straight up, hard in your face, fuck you rock. Music with attitude and drive.We are the Gutter Rock Kings of Sleaze Machine Rock.Our influences are wide ranged we listen to anything with a serious attitude.Zodiac Mindwarp,Hellacopters,Backyard Babies,Crue,Motorhead,AC/DC,Faster Pussycat, Buckcherry, and The Wildhearts just to name a few.
What's your opinion about the actual rock scene at your place?
There is no actual rock scene where we live.We are 1 of 2 rock bands in this area.We live in the mountains of North Carolina where theres alot of Bluegrass and hippy jam band music along with country music, thats why we tour as hard as we do.There are alot of bands doing the,what I call, new meatal thing,but nothing that really stands out with attitude and agression as well as feel.Everyones trying to sound like Pantara.Dont get me wrong I love Pantara there one of my favorite bands, to listen to, but there was only one Dimebag and one Phil...if you get my drift?
What is your best live memorie ? And why ?
Having the guys in Zodiac Mindwarp show up at one of our shows in NYC..and then there was Tamie Down who showed up in L.A. Hell, Josh Todd showed up as well.Damn, Ron Jeremy was at a place we were playing. Those were all good nights cuz they are all people that I respect and admire for various reasons.Wait, am I forgetting about the Playboy Playmates? I'm sorry....That was a night we'll never forget.
What would be the festival of your dreams ? (with you playing in it of course !)
Playing at The Buddakon in Japan with Ozzy on Halloween Night with all the bands and people I have mentioned.That would be one hell of a fuckin party!!
What do you expect from the future ?
We just want to keep touring and making music that people enjoy.We dont expect anything from anybody.Things are gonna be what there gonna be and we're gonna keep workin hard at rock.We're gonna keep beating the streets till they split and bleed.As long as our bellys are full and the liquor is flowin.Our volume will be screamin the name of Crank County Daredevils.
What is your motto in life ?
We dont really have a motto, we are agressive and in your face entertainment.We want people to forget about there problems and have a great time in the name of Rock.So lift your glass and feel the fire.We're here to fuel the flame of Rock n Roll.
Is there something you'd like to say to the audience ?
I aint got shit to say except, think for yourself,hold your metal hand high,play your music loud and Keep spreading the disease of rock. Oh yeah... and piss off your parents.Thats always a good time.
