Hello, my name is Danielle Lewis and I'm a contemporary folk artist from Wales. I have just released a new E.P 'Live Forever'.
Your texts and your compositions ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
Inspiration comes from a range of different things from the weather to the sound of a particular instrument. My writing is usually about something personal and deep from within. My new E.P 'Live Forever' is much more intimate.
Are you day or night ?
I'm am definitely morning if that counts! I love getting up early, there's something so pure and peaceful about the beginning of the day.
Why did you choose this style of music ?
It felt like a natural progression for me in the process of exploring my voice. I wanted to delve deeper into my tone and emotion. Having plenty of space in the production was important for me to keep the voice the main attraction.
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
I like to listen to music when I feel like it. I don't have music playing all the time and like to focus on it when I do. It can be a mix from dance

In the shower or in the bath, do you sing ? If yes, your songs or those of others ?
My friends and family think it's strange that I don't actually sing out loud to anything anywhere, be it with the radio or around the house. They definitely try and make me though!
In studio, what was the ambiance for the e.p LIVE FOREVER ?...etc.…
It was super chill. I recorded in a gorgeous space at Bywyd Studios in Cardiff. They even got the ambient lamp and scented candles out for me. I couldn't have had a better bunch of guys to work with and witness the magic.
How does it work for the design of the CD ? and why this title ?
This E.P portrays a deeper side to my personality and desires. The cover was very natural with the light and shade on my face. It's just raw.
How was the shooting of the clip LIVE FOREVER ? and why this choice ?
This song came from a very honest place. It's about trying to better oneself and be surrounded with good people. The shoot was fun and wonderfully put together.
Would you like to work with an artist ? If so who ?
If I had to pick it would be Joni Mitchell. We'd have a lot to chat about I'm sure.
What would you have chosen as a job outside of music ?
I would make a great matchmaker from my deep analytical skills.
What’s your biggest regret ?
I don't have any. Life is a lesson and a gift.
What are your projects ?
I'm currently rehearsing with the band and look forward to planning some very exciting shows soon.
What do you expect from the future ?
To take this record on tour. I can't wait to get on stage.
