I am an Austrian singer, guitar player, composer and professional musician since 20 years.
Your texts and your compositions ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
The fifth album SVINX is about the miracle life, about illusions, dreams, dramas, memories, the death, about the search for the self. I sing about these big themes, they mean a lot to me. Life is a changing process and we experience a lot in a very short period. I am inspired by my life and the world around me. While writing for SVINX I had to deal with heavy relationship problems and I tried to find a lot of answers for myself and my life.
Are you day or night ?
Both! Musicians can not live without night, but I also need the day light, the sun.
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
For SVINX David Bowie influenced me a lot. I am a big fan of his music since I am 12 years old. But his last album “Black Star” opened doors for me, in a musical and mental way. The sounds, chords, melodies, lyrics of this album are great. I wanted to create similar high level. In general I am a big fan of Soul Music, because a lot of fire and heart is packed in it. But I also love modern Pop Music like Lana Del Ray or Adele, Björk, Peaches…
What's your opinion about the current music scene in Austria ?
The music scene is really big and very creative. There lot of brilliant musicians. What we need is more support of the government for the popular music scene and more support of the national radio and TV stations.
In studio, what was the ambiance for the album SVINX ?...etc.…
There was no special ambiance. Only a room, a mic, me and my voice. That’s enough for me :-)
How does it work for the design of the CD ? and why this title ?
The title is cause of the mystical greek figure SPHINX and her story. She gave a mystery to the travelers, that passed her. Nobody could solve it, everybody died, till Ödipus came. He found out, that the solution was “human being”. That’s interesting and that’s what SVINX is about, the life of us people.
We chose this design, because we wanted to show me first time in history of Mary Broadcast quite natural but also proud, strong and same time fragile. We wanted to show the different shades of my personality.

Touring, one more single out of SVINX and a next album.
