We are Heroes Don't Ask Why from Finland. Melodic rockmetal band formed in 2015.

Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
I am (Jussi Pajunpää) the main composer, with some help from my cousin Matias. I usually compose main parts, then we arrange songs together as a band.
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
I write mainly with some help from our bass player Johnny throwing in some cool lines along the way. Lyrics deal mainly with subjects: love, divorce, war and religion.
Why the name HEROES DON'T ASK WHY ?
It was something that our original drummer Joachim Kiviniemi (ex-Deep Insight) had had in mind for years. It sounded cool, so we started using it along with HDAW initials.
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
We had big outdoor festival gig this summer on our hometown Kokkola, it must be our biggest show so far.
In studio, what was the atmosphere for the EP SOUND OF A BROKEN HEART ?...etc.…
We have used Studio Watercastle to record and mix our two EP's. Arttu Sarvanne is old friend and producer I've worked many times with my previous band.
How does it work for the design of the CD ? and why this title ?
We have a very talented graphic designer Terje Tiilikka, who is solely responsible for our visual appearance. He's made everything we have, logos, artwork, t-shirt designs etc. This title was selected by Johnny, who worked closely with Terje on artwork. He's our artwork chief and has all the details in his head and Terje puts them to reality.
Did you find a label ? If yes, how do you made the research ?
We had some offers made after our first self-titled EP, but we instead released SoaBH EP under our own Divorce Records label.
With Management and booking, how do you work ? And with whom ?
Our drummer Kimmo is very active person and handles our management duties besides drumming. He's responsible for our concerts and has done great job.
What are your projects ?
Our bass player sings on a western country band called Colt/Soberano. They just released their first EP. Otherwise rest of us are concentrating fully on HDAW.
What do you expect from the future ?
We just started writing new songs and we are planning to put out new record out at the end of 2019 if everything goes as planned. We have some club show coming this fall, main focus will be new songs. At least for me. =)
What's your motto ?
Our motto is: "If it starts going off the road, press the gas pedal to the max!"
