Hello! I play drums in the Swedish rock and roll band Spiders.
Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
On our first record John composed all songs. Then Annsofie came up with some brilliant tunes for our second album and on the third one Olle made some killer tracks along with Annsofie’s and Johnny’s marvelous songs! But most of all we create things together in the rehearsal. So we all contributed on this album.
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
We all do. Someone might have a whole text that might be lacking a word here and there. But mostly we write together. The songs are about life, death and all there is between. The world is a fucked place right now and it’s hard to NOT write about that. But the patriarchy will fall! It’s just a matter of time...
Why the name SPIDERS ?
Why not!
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
We listen to a lot of music. And a lot of different kind of music. From jazz, blues and soul to rock, death and black metal to electronic music. At the moment I can’t stop listening to Fever Ray and Rex the dog. It’s impossible to not move your body when you listen to them! I love that. I’ve been watching a live uptake of one of Fever Rays performances and that’s very inspirational. The whole scene show and their approach to what they do.
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
Wow, I have so many...every time you play in front of a crowd and you connect at a certain level is the best live memory’s. It’s pure magic!
