Present yourself to the readers
My name is Christian Sindermann and I sing and play the organ in the Danish rock band Kellermensch. Our band has existed since 2006 and we have just released our second album GOLIATH in Denmark.
Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
Most of the music is written by singer/guitarist Sebastian Wolff. He usually records an early version of a song by himself and then the rest of us join in. One exception is our single 'Bad Sign' which was written by our guitarist, Jan V. Laursen.
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
Most lyrics on this record are written by Sebastian but our drummer Anders Trans and I were also involved in a few of them. Our lyrics are often about someone who feels hurt or feels frustrated about life. The main reason why it has taken us a long time to release our second album is that we wanted every song to have great lyrics and a real story. It was hard work but definitely worth it... Some are personal while others are about our band and our situation in general.
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
Performing on Roskilde Festivals main stage in 2012 was absolutely unforgettable. There were at least 50.000 people... Festivals like Rock am Ring in Germany or Download Festival in the UK were also great. But we also love club shows.
What are your future dates ?
So far we only have Danish concerts planned. We are doing a tour in October in some of Denmarks biggest cities like Aarhus and Copenhagen. Before that there are Festivals like Roskilde Festival and a show in our hometown Esbjerg on our schedule. Hopefully there will be European concerts at a later point.
