What’s the story for FURTHER THAN THE BOTTOM ?
The story behind Further Than The Bottom is a multitude of different facets of our lives that tend to be overlooked and ignored. For example, The Washed Away was written around the Las Vegas shooting that happened a couple of years back. Kobey felt like what we were being sold about what happened seemed very far fetched. On top of that it is the worst shooting in American History but yet no news outlet nor politician speaks of it. In America, some people see guns as dangerous to society yet this shooting isn't even used in the argument. Personally if I was advocating for something to be taken from citizens, I would use this real world scenario that happened as my "smoking gun" so to speak. Yet year after year we hear nothing, they just washed 87 people's blood away like nothing ever happened. Further Than The Bottom represents how far we as people are sinking, we are lied to left and right while the great deceivers obstruct the truth. You have to peel away the rotten to see what is truly beneath this rind. We have to turn our world upside down to help climb out of the shit we have been stuck in, wake from this funk. It's an ugly place to be because we have seen the beauty in the human species, we can all live beyond these menial feelings and misunderstandings.
Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
On the first two albums David Machado/Co-Founder/Guitarist wrote over 90% of all Cerebral material taking the brotherhoods critique into consideration forming, configuring, finalizing to give the final products. However within the last two years the format changed and for the better we believe, with new members all giving to the brotherhood, writing, composing, structuring even in the eyes of adversity the writing process took on a whole new level. While Cerebral lost a Co-Founding Member all during the composing of the Further Than The Bottom Album, David/Guitarist kept the writing going, composing with the brotherhood. Never once letting anything detour their goal for the album, the brothers Kobey Lange/Vocals, Joe Muniz/Bassist and Collyn Rios/Drums pushed forward on their mission. Their perseverance along with brother Bryan Eckermann stepping in as a Fill In to complete the albums writings, he pushed us to enter he’s Bonespill Studio, added his brotherly touches to what we had already written and the final product is what you get! The brotherhood grew into a 3.0 Version of Cerebral and our brotherhood pushed forward with completion, taking huge steps in the right direction moving forward! The final track S.H.I.T. was written by Bryan, it was his donation to a (10) song album that we compiled into only (7) tracks, holding the remainder for our 4th already in the works. With that being said the 4th release is coming together beautifully with all going on in the world, the meaning of that one will be something to remember out of our camp!
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
Now with everyone doing their parts the system works even more effortlessly. The drummer writes his fills and parts all on his own just like bass and guitars they each do their own thing. Usually someone just brings an idea to the table and says this is what I got let's see what we can do with it! Each of us aren’t afraid to hear feedback from each other on what we should do differently. Once the meat and bones is there we give to the singer and he takes this colorful canvas, with his words he just brings it to life. It's a collective effort, not one person is responsible! Cerebral strives even more as a brotherhood, leaving egos at the door because we all share the same vision. La Sangré de Cerebral.
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
There are so many! We’ve been blessed with so many opportunities till now that we’ve never overlooked not one...To name one is harsh in a sense, because they’ve all meant something to each of us! We’ve played at a beer manufacturer on a small outdoor stage to a opening for Anthrax on an inside stage and the response to CËRËBRÖ has been a beautiful thing to witness! However, if we were to say which one “LIVE” memory stood out the most it would have to be the FREE DEVILDRIVER SHOW in Austin, Tx put on by Anthony Stevenson of Come And Take It Promotions. After a line up change we were offered this show, after playing only one performance before we set our eyes onto this one. We were the 2nd band to a killer lineup, we all sat and watched the opening band and said to each other It’s now or never brothers! We walked up and threw down for 30 minutes all new material and we F’n Nailed It! Members of different bands came up and commended us on the performance and it started us onto what stands before you now. We cannot thank everyone enough for the support throughout the years, but on every given opportunity we let each one know as we are able to the thanks we owe them! #blessed
In studio, what was the atmosphere for your new album ?...etc.…
Cerebral has been blessed with many opportunities entering studios in Texas. Looney Bin Recording with Bobby Mercier (R.I.P.) recording both “Immortals” LIVE with very little edits and “Incarnation” EP’s slightly being produced. Both were a relaxed, welcomed, safe recording and we will never forget the time we had with our brother. Dead Room Studio with Clifton Miles we recorded (3) Single Demo Promo Tracks to the “FTTB Album just to unveil the newly formed lineup, all knowing they’d be re-recorded for new album we went in and laid them down with DRS...That was a blessed experience with the knowledge Clifton gave us it truly was an honor to enter the before setup then his now stellar state of the art studios.
Bonespill Studio with Guitarist Bryan Eckermann was a year of grinding for all members, especially Bryan. The many hundreds of hours given to FTTB shows through and we cannot thank him enough. His attributes to the album were just what was needed and it gave us a dimension, perspective much needed for what had been written. He made it clear in order for anyone to see the vision, to take the time to portray it the way it’s intended, so they feel exactly what your speaking through our music. We feel we did and it goes to show that all (3) studio experiences attributed to our latest creation by far and we’re pleased with where we stand today.
How does it work for the great design of the CD ? and why this title ?
We wanted something dark yet colorful enough it could catch your eye. That cover is an image of where we can go if we don't change some habits socially. Further Than The Bottom is the place that means the end. People say "I've hit rock bottom" well, Further than the Bottom is past that, it's like you hit rock bottom so hard and so fast, you blew a hole through the floor and that is where you end up.
What are your projects ?
Of course Cerebral Desecration is our main focus for all of us but we do have other active projects amongst some of the members.
David Machado : Being a Co-Founder to the band Cerebral is his main! He’s never lost his vision to the brotherhood, striving to make it what it is past/present.

What's your motto ?
As a band our motto is simple, We Are Coming for That Chon Chon, which means we coming for that ass. We want to grab people when they hear us and just kick them in the teeth so to speak, our music is our everyday life bled through each note and word. Our personal motto is nothing in this life is granted, for it is only permitted to be lived. Make with that what you will brother, Mad Respect!

Cerebral Desecration is a brotherhood formed by musicians just trying to express there meanings through their music. We’re not trying to over express our music, were not trying to discourage anyone to not give it a whirl, we’re trying to reach every music genre of folk. Cerebral is a type of metal music for every groove of music influential attraction. From rhythmic soulful tempo changes, to aggressive blood flowing brutality, to the hit you in the feels turn it up enjoy full attraction to now you wanna come out and see their LIVE Vibe.
