What’s the story for RISE ?
Hi Hugues and thank you very much for your interest. RISE Is our first album with the new line up (new singer and drummer) and it marks our "rebirth". We've done it keeping one eye on continuity with our history and the other looking at the potentials this new line up gived to us.
Who composes ?...How does it work in the band ?
Every song has his story but most of the times it starts with an idea from guitarist Mark Cyril or keyboardist Marco Minno and after some work all together the song take his definitive shape.
Who writes the texts ?..What are they talking about ?..How does inspiration come ?
RISE is a concept album about the new starts and how from big problems we have to rise and give our best in the new situation. Every song take this main theme and decline it to a particular aspect of life. All the lyrics, except "La notte delle triscele" who has been written by Mark Cyril, have our new singer Nora Hime as the main writer with our bass player Leonardo Ricci as co-author in three tracks (Cry of the earth, Demetra’s struggle and Hunter).
What's your best live memory ? And why ?
It is hard to choose and I believe everyone of us have his own "perfect live memory". With the previous line up we played many great shows all around Europe, if I have to pick one I’ll say Bucarest in 2015 with Nicu Covaci as guest star (A romanian rock-folk legend). Surely our last gig in Rome (our home town) gived us all tons of positive vibes from the audience and confirmed that we were on the right path to release a great studio album.
In studio, what was the atmosphere for your new album ?...etc.…
We are very lucky to be able to use the Drums Planet Studio created by our new drummer Marco Lio so the atmosphere where somehow familiar with no eye on the clock and full concentration on the quality of the work.
