Hello. We are Maschinist from Nuremberg Germany. We play industrial Music. In Germany it calls NDH (Neue Deutsche Härte).
What’s the story for SCHÖNHEIT ?
Schönheit (Beauty) is the second Studio-Album and it is also the main Song. The Song is about plastic surgery and the big trend for body modification in the last years. The text in the Chorus is: be ready for suffering when you want a good look.
Why the name MASCHINIST ?
Because Maschinist is the best name for industrial Band!
What are your personal musical tastes and your influences ?
We have too many different musical influences. It could be a long list of different music genres. It could be russian rock music, country and on the outher side brutal music like Pantera or Meshuggah. But the main influence is industrial musik, Bands like Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Marilyn Manson and Ministry.
In studio, what was the atmosphere for your new album ?...etc.…
We write the Songs in the Homestudio by Vlad. It is always nice and relaxing athmosphere. We take really much time for each Song to make it perfect.
How does it work for the great design of the CD ? and why this title ?
The CD Cover was made by Vlad and Stephan. It all was made in the Homestudio, even the Pictures. And why this title?..... because this Album is the beauty, the masterpiece ;-)
How was the shooting of the clip DICK ? and why this choice ?
The shooting for "Dick" take some days. We was not satisfied with the first idea to make the whole video in the GYM. Than we have complete it with some recordings in the living room by Vlad with Ray (our bus driver) and Maria. The Idea was to make a ironic but critical Video about food commercials on TV.
What do you expect from the future ?
More GIGs, more bigger festivals and more fans.
